Designing for dementia-supportive environments in residential and commercial contexts is a specialised discipline, however it is one that must be increasingly deployed as the UK population ages. There are nearly 1 million people currently living with dementia in the UK, but this is set to increase to 1.4 million by 2040, meaning that much greater thought needs to be put into healthcare facilities’ design to help users not only safely navigate their environments, but also enjoy them as much as possible.
Our webinar will present examples of sensitive design approaches from different segments of the supply chain, and also how working with clinicians and end users can produce the best results, including for wider inclusivity in healthcare settings.
