Solutions for Water & Energy Saving in Commercial Environments

Upcoming Round Table 26/03/2025 Venue to be Confirmed

The need to increase the efficiency of water appliances and fixtures in commercial environments is becoming increasingly acute for clients and specifiers, driven by global concerns and sustainability standards. However, it is not only reducing water use that is in focus, but the need to save energy used to heat water, given our climate targets.

The World Green Building Council estimates that by 2030 global demand for water will be 40% higher than the supply due to warmer temperatures, population increases and changes in usage. The built environment accounts for around 15% of drinking water, so exploring new ways to save water in appliances, as well as ensuring they are energy saving, is fundamental. Smarter solutions and appliances can ensure that performance matches requirements while saving resources, to assist clients in what is a competitive commercial environment in the ‘return to offices’ post-pandemic.

But what are the challenges in workplaces, retail and other settings for introducing such innovations? Our multidisciplinary round table will bring specifiers, experts and product manufacturers innovators together to dive into the issues and explore realistic solutions. What are the regulations and standards that matter, and how can specifiers and manufacturers work together to identify the practical answers?
